      Hi Tania,

Loved the lesson – very fascinating!! but not sure how to look at the current Fortune situation. I haven’t done Level 2 of Astro-Numerology or the Future Forecast.
I have done progressions before but just not sure how to do it with this. Will that be taught later during the course? if not, how do I look that up?

      Thank you!

      Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, the forecasting component of this course will be covered in the final module, Lesson 7. 🙂

When I use Astro gold software and Astro.com I come up with part of fortune as 29 degrees Capricorn in second house instead of your calculation of 15 degrees Scorpio in 11th house. I researched it and it looks like your using fixed instead of a day or night chart. What is the difference in the use of the two calculations? Is it a preference like choosing a house system?

      • Test Gabrielle

Jeremy, the classic formula reverses the Sun and Moon for night births. This is why I have my programs set for the day or night chart when it comes to calculating the Part of Fortune. If you’d like further explanation – as well as to calculate your POF using the day/night system, you can go here: https://cafeastrology.com/partoffortune.html

      Hi Tania

      So interesting. Loved the lesson:)

I am a bit confused with the calculation. I did mine on astro.com and Astro Gold. Part of Fortune Scorpio, 9th house 27 degrees. I received yours and it’s different. It says
Your Part of Fortune is in the 2nd House.
Your Part of Fortune is in the Sign of Aries.
Your Part of Fortune is at 19 degrees.

      Why is it different?

      Thanks so much.

Hi Olga – I apologize for all the confusion. I will correct the video in the next week. The classic formula reverses the Sun and Moon for night births. This is why I have my programs set for the day or night chart when it comes to calculating the Part of Fortune. Please use the following link to calculate your POF using the day/night system: https://cafeastrology.com/partoffortune.html

          Thanks so much!

    • Nora Jeanne Welsh

Two questions: 1) Why would the classic formula reverse the Sun and Moon for night births? 2) Do you ever consider or factor in the day formula placement?

I noticed that my friend’s daughter’s chart went from 17 degrees Pisces in her 10th house (conjunct Uranus at 15 degrees), to 22 degrees Virgo in her 4th house. Obviously, they’re very different. Day formula might have her becoming an amazing astro-numerologist but at this point in her life (14 years old) she’s demonstrated significant gifts as a dancer.

      • Nora Jeanne Welsh

Since I used that example, I’d better mention that her north node is at 6 degrees Pisces also in her 10th house.

      • Test Gabrielle

Nora, For over a thousand years the day Part of Fortune has been the one in use by astrologers, and it is for many even to this day. This is because Ptolemy, an ancient authority, seemed to advocate doing all charts using the day formula. However, NEW translations of Ptolemy indicate that this was not his intention. Most other ancient sources advocated using the day formula for day births and the night formula for night births. You may explore both versions, if you feel called to do that. So draw up both charts so you can discover more about the way in which you can interpret either of these powerful points in the chart.

Hi Tania. The Whole House system has become prevalent with several other teachers and I would like your thoughts on this. Since it can make a big difference in one’s chart when a part or point or planet shifts to a different house from Placidus.

      Thank you so much,

      Heidi Bass

      • Test Gabrielle

Heidi, if the Whole House system speaks to you then by all means use it. I am not an advocate for only using one system – but the one that resonates with you most deeply. Of course the planets and points will shift locations and then it is for you to interpret this version vs. the Placidus House System to see which one is a frequency match for you. In the end it is the resonance you feel that brings you the wisdom and solutions you seek.

    • Jeanette Torrellas

      Hi Tania,

My POF is in the 3rd house and it says if I can’t put my ideas into practice (which is spot on with what always seem to go on with me) there is an energetic blockage, and this blockage I have felt all my life. How do I tap into that blockage to remove it and be able to move forward? I have tried so many things, I am hoping something I can look into in my chart might have the answer.

      Thank you,

      Jeanette

Jeanette, this is just one part of your abundance and success code. You also have a 71/8 Destiny Number which lies in the Manifestation triad in numerology and is a spectacular vibration for manifestation through the lens of Leadership. To when you take the LEAD in your career and personal life, you can manifest at will as it is your destiny to do so. You can also find other degree numbers in your astrology chart that resonate to 10, reduce to 4 or 8 (even 2) for further manifestation support. Finally, notice what your other two important birth numbers resonate to (Life Purpose and Day). Which triad are they in? If you express the shadow side of that triad or those numbers, then distractions will interfere and zap you of your very focused leadership gifts.

    • Marina Cruceru

I started to watch Module 1. I got to the planets conjunction with my PoF. I am confused about how to interpret it for my chart.

It looks like I have Neptune conjunct to my PoF, but in the video there is no explanation of what this means. Also, if there are other planets conjunct to PoF at 60, 90, 120, 180 degrees, how do I see it on my chart?

I am new to astrology. If there are any prerequisite classes that I need to take to understand this Module, please let me know.

      • Test Gabrielle

Marina, for any aspects to the Part of Fortune (Conjunction, Opposition, Square, Trine, Sextile), go to the “Part of Fortune: ASPECTS” section in Module 1. Look up the aspect in question – in this case the conjunction.

Then go to the next section – “Conjunctions to Part of Fortune” – and find the planet you are looking for, in this case Neptune. You can use these interpretations for all the aspects… just apply the meaning of the aspect (i.e. the Square) to the keywords for the Planet/Part of Fortune combination.

In the case of Neptune conjunct Part of Fortune, there are two slides looking at the Neptune/PoF conjunction in this section.
